The Makabata Para sa Bayan, Inc. (MPBI) a non-government and pro-children organization together with Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Pangasinan and Local Government Unit of San Quintin, Pangasinan with the collaboration of Secretary Hermogenes Esperon Jr. will hold a “Makabata Bright Child Show “ on October 24, 2009 at the San Quintin Municipal Gymnasium which will start at 9:00 in the morning.

The “Makabata Bright Child Show “ is an information an advocacy campaign that utilizes educational-entertainment in the form of a live mascot thearitical show that integrates literacy, health and values formation. It also aims to respond to CWC’s demand of a multi-sectoral participation to further spread the Bright Child influence in the country.

Another public service program initiated by Mayor Clark Cecil P. Tiu, the NSO Serbilis Extension is now in San Quintin, Pangasinan. The said program, aims to deliver services rendered by the National Statistics Office in the requests for Authenticated Birth, Death, Marriage Certificates and CENOMAR (Certificate of no marriage). Individuals in need of these documents need not to go to distant NSO Offices cutting travel expenses and time falling in long lines.

The Municipality of San Quintin, Pangasinan celebrates the 2nd Year Anniversary of its RHU's 24-Hrs Service. In line with this celebration, the Local Government Unit of San Quintin has formed Medical Services for the entire month of September.

Free ECG Test and Blood Sugar Testing had been made last September 12 and 19 respectively. On September 26, 2009, the LGU will conduct a Medical Mission which will benefit residents from various barangays of San Quintin, Pangasinan sponsored by Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr., Secretary General-Presidential Management Staff. At the last week of September 2009, there will be a bloodletting activity at the ABC Hall, San Quintin, Pangasinan sponsored by the LGU in cooperation with The Philippine National Red Cross.

The San Quintin Citizen's Charter Service Guide Book is formulated to ensure fast, transparent, efficient and quality service. It also includes the services in the Local Government with step-by-step procedures and the persons who are responsible for that service is now available for printing or download.

The Municipal Officials headed by Mayor Clark Cecil P. Tiu with heads of offices, Barangay Captains and Head Teachers recently conducted a Lakbay-Aral with regards to Zero Waste Management. As part of the formulation of Zero Waste Program, the Municipality of San Quintin is conducting observations, studies as well as gathering information from Best Practices of various Cities which had applied Zero Waste Management effectively and efficiently particularly the City of Marikina.

The tradition of San Quintin, Pangasinan to conduct a Free Mass Wedding every year is set on November 23, 2009.. Applications started this 24th day of August 2009 until the 24th day of October 2009..After this date, application will no longer be entertained..
