MISS DONNA CAPINO of Pob. Zone 1 was announced as the winner of last night's Talent Show.

The Swimsuit, Long Gown Competition and Announcement of Miss San Quintin Town Fiesta 2010will be on April 29, 2010 (8:00PM) at the Municipal Quadrangle.

For this year's Town Fiesta Celebration, the search for Miss San Quintin will not be the traditional Popularity Contest, instead there will be a Beauty Pageant. The contest will be joined by individual participants from the 21 Barangays of San Quintin of which seven (7) Barangays still don't have a representative. Among the contestants are:

Screening of participants is still open. The Presentation of Candidates and Talent Show will be on April 19, 2010 (8:00 PM) at the Municipal Quadrangle and an exciting prize also awaits the winner.

The Presentation and Talent Show will also be aired by Muñoz Cable System.

The entire Municipality has joined in the Lighting of the 1st Giant Christmas Tree in San Quintin, Pangasinan. The first time in San Quintin joined together to hold a memorable activity in the Holiday Seasons.

The lighting ceremony marks the celebrations for this coming Christmas. During the occasion, Mayor Clark Cecil P. Tiu and his betterhalf Mrs. Florence P. Tiu do the honors of lighting the Giant Christmas Tree.

Dance and Song presentations were also part of the activity as it was highlighted by display of fireworks.

The Municipality of San Quintin welcomes and will greet the Holiday Season with series of activities:

December 16, 2009 - Lighting of Giant Christmas Tree
The opening salvo of the Christmas Celebration. The lighting of the giant christmas tree in front of the Municipal Building as symbolic rite for the Christmas Festivities. It is for the first time that an activity like this will happen in San Quintin.

December 25, 2009 - SK / Barangay Night
Sponsored by the Sangguniang Kabataan and LIGA ng Barangay at the Don Delfin U. Romero Gymnasium. Be there and join the party!

December 29, 2009 - Free Mystical Magic Show
The Municipality of San Quintin is also giving a Free Mystical Magic Show to its constituents at the Don Delfin U. Romero Gymnasium. There will be also a Variety Show to further entertain the townspeople of San Quintin.

December 30, 2009 - Rizal Day Commemoration
The Municipality of San Quintin will join the Nation as we remember and give tribute to our National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

January 1, 2010 - Christmas And New Year Celebration and Balikbayan Night
The whole Municipality will celebrate Christmas and welcome "Year2010" with a party at the Don Delfin U. Romero Gymnasium. Everyone is invited!!!

There will be free rides for children at the Public Plaza for the entire duration of the Christmas Season to make their Christmas even more happy and memorable.

The 5th Mayor Clark Cecil P. Tiu Basketball Tournament commenced as planned. It opened early this morning with a Parade of Participating Teams, the Tournament Officials and Drum and Lyre Corps coming from San Quintin National High Scholl (SQNHS), San Quintin High School (SQHS) and Don Sisenando V. Tecson Elementary School followed by a short program. The Opening Ceremony was highlighted by contest of muses which was won by Miss Mantacdang and Miss SQNHS respectively in two (2) categories, the Barangay and Shools Division respectively.

The 5th Mayor’s Cup, a part of continuing program in Sports Development joins the first integration of schools in the tournament to promote further sportsmanship and camaraderie among youths of San Quintin.

Future plans for Sports in San Quintin includes a girls tournament in basketball and volleyball.
